Zack designs and implements communications strategies to share the history and impact of the Hunger Center and its programs. He also manages alum engagement and administers database systems across the organization. He is motivated by a foundational belief in the power of stories and food to change the world. Prior to joining the team in 2015, he worked for the public library systems of Alexandria, Virginia, and Orange County, North Carolina, as well as the Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library at George Washington University. He has worked with a number of community agriculture projects and small farms, from urban Massachusetts to rural North Carolina. He is also a cartoonist. Zack hails from Cedar Grove, North Carolina, and holds a bachelor's degree in communications with a specialization in media production from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
