The Arizona Community Action Association (ACAA) was incorporated in 1967 in response to a need for a statewide forum to address issues relating to poverty. ACAA was created to provide a unified voice in the fight against poverty, educate and advocate on behalf of Arizona's low-income population, provide services that improve the lives of people through self sufficiency, and serve as an umbrella organization for local community action agencies. In 2018, the organization adopted the new name Wildfire.
