Maria Wrabel is the Power of Nutrition Research Project Coordinator at Action Against Hunger USA, where she is leading an upcoming study to improve acute malnutrition treatment in Ethiopia.
As a Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellow (2019-2021), Maria worked with Action Against Hunger USA in South Sudan and the US, where she focused on community-based treatment of acute malnutrition. Prior to beginning the fellowship, she worked as a cash and livelihoods assessment officer with the REACH Initiative in Iraq, and a research assistant for the USAID-funded Food Aid Quality Review as well as the Feinstein International Center at Tufts University.
Maria holds a BA in Global Development Studies from Stetson University, an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics, for which she received a Rotary Global Grant Scholarship, and an MS in Food and Nutrition Policies and Programs from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.
