Emma Peterson

Emma Peterson grew up in Columbia, Kentucky, and is currently working towards getting her Bachelor’s Degrees in Sustainability and Environmental Studies and Political Science with a minor in Spanish at Lindsey Wilson College. She is a proud Bonner Scholar and has participated in various volunteer opportunities through JOY Ministries to serve local families who are affected by poverty and food insecurity, and has had the opportunity to take day-trips to work with Feeding America. Emma is passionate about providing opportunities for underprivileged communities and investing in the lives of individuals negatively affected by poverty and food insecurity. This summer she hopes to gain a better understanding of how she can help her community and hone her leadership skills so she can take advantage of every opportunity she is given to impact her community.
