Elizabeth is an accomplished technical business leader possessing over two decades of expertise in strategy development, research and development, innovation, organizational design, and food security across both for-profit and non-profit sectors. Recently, she served as a consultant in Tanzania where she concentrated on testing climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies within the agricultural sector to strengthen food security and improve livelihoods. Previously, she served as a member of the global executive leadership team at Compassion International, a renowned INGO assisting children in poverty. Elizabeth oversaw strategy, execution, global communication, and public affairs. Her experience also spans the food industry, where she took on R&D leadership roles of increasing responsibility with the Kellogg Company and Cargill. There she led basic and applied process and product research and development to commercialize customer-centric innovations and renovations which delivered top and bottom-line growth. A strong advocate for diversity and inclusivity, Elizabeth has consistently supported the recruitment, development, and promotion of a diverse workforce throughout her career. She actively collaborates with others to foster environments where everyone can feel a sense of belonging and flourish. Elizabeth holds a Ph.D. in Grain Science and Industry from Kansas State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
