Jeremiah Lowery is a Washington, D.C. native and a 2008 graduate of the University of Maryland. He is an activist and has worked on issues ranging from campaign finance reform to human rights. Jeremiah has worked with and organized low-income residents in the Washington, D.C. area on the issues of urban gardening, nutrition, food preparation, and food budgeting. He also helped organize national Food Day events for the Center for Science in the Public Interest and hosted the “Heal DC” radio show on WPFW 89.3 FM Pacifica Radio.
