A native of North Carolina, Lindsay graduated with distinction as a Public Service Scholar and with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in psychology and peace, war, and defense. Lindsay has researched the effects of poverty on young children’s development, volunteered in the local community, and held leadership positions in UNC’s student center for social justice and activism. Lindsay also studied in Botswana, focusing on evolutionary psychology and indigenous people’s issues in sub-Saharan Africa.
