After School Meals: Feeding Kids After the Bell Rings is a toolkit geared towards anti-hunger advocates and afterschool program administrators. The toolkit outlines best practices in outreach, management, and budgeting, and draws on the successes of Maine afterschool programs in rural and urban areas to guide new programs through the requirements of the Afterschool Meals Program.

H is from Lawrence, Kansas and graduated from Grinnell College with a degree in sociology. At Grinnell, they founded the Anti-Oppression Peer Education Network, a social justice peer education and leadership development organization. H has facilitated tutoring sessions for incarcerated youth, interned with Representative Tammy Baldwin, and worked at the Center for Constitutional Rights as an undergraduate Ella Baker Fellow. They also conducted independent research into organizing strategies for grassroots movements and has experience as an LGBTQ organizer.
