Childhood Hunger in Vermont includes a PowerPoint presentation and accompanying guide that a) defines the problem of childhood hunger in Vermont, its effects on the health, education and well-being of children, and the increased health care and educational costs to the state because of hunger, and b) analyzes the use of federal nutrition programs, including Food Stamps, School Meals, and Summer Foods.

Katelin attended Princeton University for two years, but transferred to Stanford University where she graduated and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.  Katelin has worked on an organic farm in West Rutland, Vermont, as a tutor for young children, and campaigned to regulate sweatshop abuses with Students for Progressive Education and Action.
