Reps. Smith (R-NJ) and McCollum (D-MN) introduce bi-partisan Global Food Security Act of 2015

On March 24, the Global Food Security Act was introduced in the House with 12 bipartisan cosponsors. The bill would require a Global Food Security Strategy focused on small-scale producers and the nutrition of mothers and children. Implementation of the strategy must further be based on principles of aid effectiveness and include strong coordination; results must be evaluated and reported. CHC joined 51 other NGOs in welcoming this bill.
